INSTALLATION PROCESS

Prior to laying our Terrazzo Concrete floor, we need to prepare the surface for the process. As we do in other floor preparation processes, the concrete floor is diamond grinded to open the surface.

Once we have enough porosity and a proper scratch patter for the material to bond to the grinded concrete, we proceed with a consistent layer of primer.We mix the selected Portland Cement with the background color and stone aggregate chosen by the customer.

We carefully pour and trowel our Terrazzo Polished Concrete Overlay ideally in the same day. The pouring process could take a whole day or more depending on the size of the project.

Once the Terrazzo Overlay is layed, we can start the grinding process 24hs hours after.

Just like Polished Concrete, we proceed to expose the aggregate, harden it, and then, we start the polish process.Terrazzo Concrete Overlay can be sealed with a topical sealer or fully polished like Polished Concrete, it all depends on the needs and purpose of the customer.
